Timely bookings are essential to secure this unique chance of celebrating Christmas 2024 at Auckland’s unique Cellar Door venue, hosted next to the Puhoi Organic Distillery & Caviar House, in a stylish Bar-Pavilion and adjacent panoramic cocktail Terrace which form parts of the Distillery’s integrated zone.

This boutique award-winning Kirichuk family business has been recognized and accredited as the world’s best micro-distillery by Lonely Planet, and the world’s only fully solar-powered Distillery.

In 2023 Puhoi Organic Distillery & Caviar House has become the first business in New Zealand to receive Excellence in Sustainability Award, thus being officially recognised as the country’s trailblazer in zero-emission and eco-friendliness.

This fully licenced, private and secure panoramic Cellar Door Venue nestled on a green hill, in the very heart of the picturesque historic Bohemian Puhoi Village, right behind the famous Puhoi Pub.

Getting here is an easy 30-km drive from Auckland CBD via SH1 to the Puhoi exit (or only 12-km drive from Warkworth, if you are coming from North). From the Puhoi turn-off, it is only 1-km via a hard-surface Main road into the Puhoi Village Historic Centre, to the signposted entrance of our private Distillery Road at the address of 9 Saleyards Road, Puhoi (just behind the famous Puhoi Pub) please click here to see this destination on the map.


The Distillery’s Cellar Door Panoramic Venue, part of the spacious 1,000m² scenic area, includes the following amenities, at the disposal of your group during your private Christmas party: atmospheric Cellar Door Pavilion, stylish Crystal Bar, panoramic Cellar Door Terrace looking onto a gorgeous, decorated Christmas tree (20 meters high!), quality teak outdoors furniture (comfortably sitting 40 persons), under wide umbrellas and scenic smoking corner. Also, at your services during your private event is our spacious secure carpark with two destination EV charging stations, comfortable Ladies & Gents toilets, free Wi-Fi, and many great spots for photo taking.

Your special party is fully protected by security gates and powerful automatic generator in case of any power cuts.


Group number: Minimum 14 people; up to 40 people seated, up to 60 people in good weather in a cocktail party format.

CELLAR DOOR’s Crystal Bar, open from start to finish of the booked Xmas event, provides:

Alcoholic Drinks: Our standard Range of Gins, Vodkas, Rums, Whiskeys, Absinthe, Vermouth, Amaro, Limoncello, etc. handcrafted by our team, all top-shelf, sophisticated, artisanal beverages, and mouth-watering cocktails made with them. You can get a good idea of our boutique limited edition all-natural beverage range by visiting online store’s cellar.

By request, we can also add to this list top quality imported Czech/German beers, quality European wines, including sparkling wines (can be an added extra, subject to negotiation).

Non-alcoholic drinks: the Distillery’s own purest artesian water, best in Auckland; selection of top quality natural juices; quality Indian Tonic Water (Fevertree or similar); Barrista Coffee, high grade loose tea, etc.

Open buffet catering: our menu varies depending on the season, dietary restrictions (if any) and the budget for the event. Our menu, however, is always expertly paired with our artisan alcohol, and reflects the generous Ukrainian traditions of hospitality (we will be able to present you a concept menu at a later stage, if you go ahead with the booking). In any case, the menu includes seafood, different meats and poultry, fresh vegetables, deli condiments, freshly roasted nuts, mediterranean olives, fine cheese platter, artisan breads & butter, fermented foods & pickles, summer fruit and berries, and sophisticated desserts. The quantities served are plentiful 😊

While hosting our bespoke private events, we don’t limit amounts of food per person, and, in fact, we don’t limit the number of drinks, however, according to our license conditions, we monitor the intoxication level of our guests.

Our pricing serves different budgets, varies in duration (the longer duration allows us to amaze you with more food, drinks and infotainment):


Silver Level (1.5 hours duration), $100pp incl GST


Gold Level (2.5 hours duration), $200pp incl GST


Diamond Level (3.5 hours), $300pp incl GST


Caviar Level (up to 4 hours duration), $500pp incl GST  

In any case, upon making your booking and minimum non-refundable advance deposit (15%), as ‘a picture paints a 1000 words’, we strongly recommend the site visit to Puhoi to help us optimise your Xmas party, get a brief tour of the Panoramic Cellar Door Venue, and discuss possible options to make your event truly memorable, most enjoyable, and reminisced about for many months to come by your attendees.


Alex Kirichuk

Master Distiller Alex Kirichuk has a Degree in Nuclear Power Engineering awarded in 1975 by the Odessa State Polytechnic University. The 1986 Chernobyl Disaster caused Alex to become an avid supporter of environmental sustainability. Since then, Alex has been involved in numerous eco-friendly projects. In New Zealand he has long years of experience in creation of unique equipment and technology for Food & Beverage production. Alex is our Distiller, Brewmaster, Equipment Engineer, Company Director and Caviar Expert.

Doctor Iryna Kirichuk (MD)

is a specialist in Cardiology and Sports Medicine. She graduated as a Medical Doctor with Honours from Odessa National Medical University (Ukraine) in 1984, study Iryna, in the course of this highly specialized work, developed many natural remedies for overall good health and different ailments. In New Zealand she is now using her many years of medical training to good effect in formulating a wide range of Functional Adaptogenic Beverages (Herbal Tonics & Spirits) through the use of her own method of practical application of Natural Adaptogens and Enotherapy (Science and Art of treatment with alcohol-based remedies). Duty Manager Victoria Kirichuk

Also our Gin Distiller, PR Manager and Marriage Celebrant. Victoria is a Polyglot, speaking seven languages (including English, Mandarin Chinese, French, Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish and Japanese). She is the go-to person for all the private event bookings of our panoramic Cellar Door Venue: Tastings, Corporates, Master Classes, Weddings, Birthday & Anniversary celebrations, Hen & Stag parties, etc. As the Director of New Zealand Caviar House & Caviarologist, Victoria supplies our business with the top-quality Caviar.
