Wasabi Vodka (750ml 38% ABV)

Wasabi Vodka is a fantastic addition to my new coloured Vodka range!

I was inspired to create this delicious Vodka by the fact that Wasabi is organically grown here in New Zealand, in the South Island.

Wasabi (Lat. Wasabia japonica) is a delicious spice originating from Japan, which has been valued for centuries not only for its culinary merits, but also for its healing properties. The latest scientific research proves that this powerful healing botanical has antibacterial, anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory effects. It also helps to slow blood clotting and stimulate bone growth.

Our Doctor-Formulator Iryna Kirichuk (MD) chose New Zealand Wasabi not only for its medicinal properties, but also for its beautiful palate, and its amazing ability to pair perfectly with many different types of dishes, particularly seafood dishes, and most Asian-cuisine dishes.

My Wasabi Vodka has a distinctive piquant and tantalising nose, and the palate to follow delivers the promises created by the nose: mouth-watering, appetizing sensations, and a mild spicy finish. The natural colour of Wasabi Vodka derives from a composition of botanicals, which act a cheerleading team for Wasabi the solo player.

The moderate strength of 38% ABV makes this sipping Vodka extraordinarily smooth, and so it should be enjoyed neat accompanied with a matching dish.

Creative mixologists can certainly use Wasabi Vodka to display their art and skills in daring cocktails. As far as myself, its creator, is concerned, I use Wasabi Vodka for the best Bloody Mary cocktails – Japanese style.
