All-inclusive Caviar Discovery Banquet at Cellar Door is hosted next to the Puhoi Organic Distillery’s workshop, in a stylish Bar-Pavilion (with a coffee/teas and desserts served at the adjacent panoramic cocktail Terrace at nice weather) which form parts of the Distillery’s integrated zone. 

The Venue is located in the heart of the picturesque historic village of Puhoi, only 30minutes of driving from Aukland CBD. The venue boast spacious and secure carpark with two destination EV charging stations, comfortable Ladies & Gents toilets, scenic smoking corner and panoramic views on Puhoi. Your visit will be enjoyable at any weather, with the well-designed protection against strong sun, wind, rain and cold.

Event description


This is the top tier luxury tasting event, commissioned by the New Zealand Caviar House (the strategic partner of Puhoi Organic Distillery). The key objectives of this high-profile bespoke event is to present the premium Sturgeon Caviar exclusively sourced from the world’s best aquafarms by the New Zealand Caviar House and explore its long history, noble traditions and nutritional benefits.


By default, at least two types of Sturgeon Caviar are served during the Banquet, with no less than 50g per person (!), in individual crystalware and black mother pearl Caviar spoons.


The multi-course menu is quality seafood-based, complimenting and well-matched with the Caviar. The Caviar Discovery Banquet is concluded with a sophisticated dessert.


Puhoi Organic Distillery’s Cellar Door Bar provides the wide range of beverages, including those traditionally paired with Caviar: Vodka and Méthode Traditionelle Brut​​s. Moreover, only in Puhoi you can try the unique sensational Caviar Vodka, designed and handcrafted by the Distillery’s team.


The bespoke catering is designed according to the classic traditions and highest standards of Caviar presentation. The Caviar Discovery Banquet guests are seated in a stylish Cellar Door Pavilion, sheltered from excessive sun, wind and rain. The crystalware, cutlery, fine plates and elegant table setting is totally unique for New Zealand, and is in style of the old world’s luxury banquet traditions.


Alex Kirichuk

Master Distiller Alex Kirichuk has a Degree in Nuclear Power Engineering awarded in 1975 by the Odessa State Polytechnic University. The 1986 Chernobyl Disaster caused Alex to become an avid supporter of environmental sustainability. Since then, Alex has been involved in numerous eco-friendly projects. In New Zealand he has long years of experience in creation of unique equipment and technology for Food & Beverage production. Alex is our Distiller, Brewmaster, Equipment Engineer, Company Director and Caviar Expert.

Doctor Iryna Kirichuk (MD)

is a specialist in Cardiology and Sports Medicine. She graduated as a Medical Doctor with Honours from Odessa National Medical University (Ukraine) in 1984, study Iryna, in the course of this highly specialized work, developed many natural remedies for overall good health and different ailments. In New Zealand she is now using her many years of medical training to good effect in formulating a wide range of Functional Adaptogenic Beverages (Herbal Tonics & Spirits) through the use of her own method of practical application of Natural Adaptogens and Enotherapy (Science and Art of treatment with alcohol-based remedies). Duty Manager Victoria Kirichuk

Also our Gin Distiller, PR Manager and Marriage Celebrant. Victoria is a Polyglot, speaking seven languages (including English, Mandarin Chinese, French, Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish and Japanese). She is the go-to person for all the private event bookings of our panoramic Cellar Door Venue: Tastings, Corporates, Master Classes, Weddings, Birthday & Anniversary celebrations, Hen & Stag parties, etc. As the Director of New Zealand Caviar House & Caviarologist, Victoria supplies our business with the top-quality Caviar.
