Puhoi Organic Distillery’s Food Grade Alcohol for Cake Makers & Decorators is odourless food-grade grain alcohol (ethanol) 95% ABV perfect for creating edible shiny and metallic paints in gold, silver and other colours.

Its high strength (95% ABV) makes it fast evaporating, and it can be added to liquid or paste colours, as well as mixed with luster dusts/decorating dusts such as, for example, Rolkem range of dusts.

This product is also useful for removing corn flour or icing marks off your paste or fondant.

Unlike the unpleasant-smelling and slowly-evaporating Isopropyl alcohol some cake-makers use, Puhoi Organic Distillery’s Food Grade Alcohol for Cake Makers & Decorators is naturally fermented from plant material only and is food-grade and is suitable for using in edible creations.

Since we are the only New Zealand’s bespoke Distillery and privileged to have a Doctor-Formulator in our family team, we can take custom orders for special custom-made confectionary liquor and high-percentage alcohol based infusions (around 65% ABV, as required by most recipes). Such strong alcohol is always All-Natural, without any nasty chemicals added, and can be based on top-quality Brandy, Rum, Whisky, Vodka, Grappa, Schnapps, Absinthe, Liqueurs, Vermouths, Bitters, etc. Such special alcohol can include sophisticated botanical compositions created by Dr Iryna Kirichuk (MD), and handcrafted from the selected herbs and spices obtained from the traceable sources.
